The business district of Naples (the Centro Direzionale) is to the east of the old quarter, near the Stazione Centrale. The old part of the city (Centro Storico) is the area between Piazza Garibaldi and Via Toledo; its ancient Roman street plan is practically intact. The main street in the Centro Storico is Via San Biagio dei Librai, locally known as Spaccanapoli. This literally means "split-Naples" and it divides the old quarter in two.
Naples, the third-largest city in Italy, is the capital of Campania, in the south of the country. It is an important industrial centre and a major port. Naples has a rich history and wealthy cultural heritage; the old city centre is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while the ancient sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum are located just outside the city.
